I had the honor of being part of the miniatures unit for Luca Guadagnino’s feature Queer (A24), under the supervision of Simon Weisse.
As a Junior Modelmaker, I primarily worked under Cindy Schnitter, Senior Modelmaker, who led the creation of the model shown here. Together with Lucy Weisse, Susanna Jeger, Stefan Kolbe and Maher Abdo, we also built another model that, unfortunately, didn’t make it into the final film. In this gallery, you can find some work-in-progress pictures.
These are just two examples of over ten incredible miniatures that were crafted in Berlin by a highly talented and dedicated team—many more people contributed beyond those mentioned here.
