the Echoehub
For the short film Echoes of Juno, Klara Rodenberg, Malte Rückford, and I built this massive AI bed. Production designer Maximilian Hirsch created the design. We were short on budget, pressed for time, but full of dedication.

Synopsis
Juno is dead. As advanced as medicine may be in the year 2030, it couldn't save Hanna's daughter. Juno has been gone for two years now, and yet Hanna still spends every day with her.
In Juno’s bedroom sits a cube—the Echoehub. This device is controlled by artificial intelligence, which processes information about the deceased and generates possible future scenarios they might have experienced. Over and over again, Hanna relives new scenarios, accompanying Juno through all the joyful milestones she never got to see.
At first, Hanna’s wife Paula saw the AI in the nursery as a helpful tool for grieving. But in recent months, she has reached her breaking point. She decides to cut Hanna off—cold turkey. What she doesn’t anticipate, however, is just how far Hanna is willing to go in her search for happiness.
